Thick fog blanketted most of Sydney and only a few walkers and joggers ventured onto the broad expanses of sandy beach. This was in contrast to most mornings when surfers, joggers, walkers and swimmers flock to the beach for their early morning exercise followed by coffee at one of the numerous coffee shops.
