Lichen covered granite rocks at Cosy Corner, Bay of Fires Conservation Reserve, St Helens, Eastern Tasmania. The Bay of fires is a region of white beaches, clear blue water and orange hued lichen covered rocks. It was given its name in 1773 by Captain Tobias Furneaux who saw the fires of Aboriginal People along the beaches.
