One of the Twelve Apostles from the base of Gibson Steps, Great Ocean Road, Port Campbell, Victoria. The Twelve Apostles is a collection of limestone stacks offshore from the Great Ocean Road. There are now only eight sea stacks remaining as the ocean erodes the soft limestone. The site was originally known as the Sow and Piglets. The name was changed in 1922 as a tourism marketing exercise that has been very successful.
